Wheres the safer parts of dublin city to stay and also go out for the night?

If you can, try to find a place to stay on the southside of the city. Its generally safer then the north inner city.Like most people here have already said.....Temple Bar is the best place for nightlife and is very safe. Trouble only comes to those who go looking for it. There is safety in numbers and TB is packed with thousands on any given night, not to mention the Gardai patrolling the place to keep trouble at a minimum.
